This classic car was purchased brand new in 1962 and has been passed down thru the generations.  Lucky enough, this classic was brought to TW to be restored.  The engine needs cleaned up and tuned and the body needs repaired and painted.   Have you every heard of 3-speed push button tranny?  Check out the space age looking dash!

The trunk is huge.  I wonder how many Miata's you could stash in there?

What a great steering column!   The bubble gives it a space- Apollo-13 kinda look.

The car rolled into the shop to have the process start.  It will get fixed up so its in drivable condition.  New front and rear brakes and a new carb are just for starters....

Pulling the rear drums off and surprisingly a puller is needed.  I don't think its been removed since the 70's.

This Chrysler is on to its next steps!
After we determined all that needed replaced, sheet metal wise, we were able to find some new pre-made weld-ins for this!
That was an exciting moment.
Some of the holes in the floor were big enough to stick your foot through, so finding these just made the job that much easier. As you can tell, its not all getting replaced as there is still significant thickness. It will be cleaned and treated, once we are complete.
