The owner of this car brought it with a high compression, big cam, hybrid built motor. Using a 1.8 liter block and crank and the 20 valve head from a 1.6. It came in for a tune using a Haltech Platinum 1000 ecu. After a few stages since day one, it is now a 13:1 compression, big cam, turbo car, all built in-house at TW.

This freshly rebuilt engine has been installed is ready to race.
If you look closely, you can see custom intercooler with cooling fans and just around the corner is turbo! When you work with high performance custom cars all day there is no choice, but to install a turbo into the hillclimb racer. Notice the oil cooler mounted to the removable support bar. This allows easy access to the engine and tranny.
